FAQs
Frequently asked questions
What is process service, and why is it important?
Process service is how legal papers are officially delivered to the people or business named in a court case by a third party within local laws. It’s what makes sure everyone gets fair notice and a chance to respond before anything moves forward in court. This step is part of the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment, which protects everyone’s right to be informed and heard. Proper service isn’t just a legal requirement, it’s what keeps the system fair. When we complete a serve, we’re helping uphold that constitutional principle and keeping your case on track.
We typically attempt at people’s homes during hours where people are home. Integrity Process Services includes three attempts: one in the before 11 AM, one after 6 PM and one weekend attempt.

How long does it take to complete a serve?
Most standard serves are completed within three to ten days. If you need a quicker time frame, we offer rush within 1 to 3 days, expedited within 24 to 48 hours, and on-demand within 3 to 24 hours.
How many attempts are included?
We typically make up to three attempts at one address. Each attempt is live updated with GPS and photo evidence. If additional attempts or addresses are needed, we’ll always check with you first before adding charges.
What if I don’t know where the person lives?
That’s where skip tracing comes in. We partner with private investigators that utilize professional databases, public records, and other tools to locate individuals who are difficult to find. Skip tracing starts at $125, depending on how complex the case is.
What happens after the serve is complete?
You’ll receive a Proof of Service (also called an Affidavit of Service) by email once the serve is complete within 24 hours. It includes all relevant details and is ready to file with the court. If you’d like, we can also file the proof for you electronically for an additional fee.
Do you serve documents at night or on weekends?
Yes. Many people are easiest to reach outside of business hours. Some states limit service on Sundays and holidays.
How will I know the status of my serve?
We use secure digital tools to keep you updated in real time. You’ll receive notifications when attempts are made and when service is complete. Transparency is part of our process.
What types of documents do you serve?
We handle a wide range of legal documents, including:
- Summons and complaints
- Subpoenas
- Small claims documents
- Landlord/tenant notices
- Family law paperwork
- Court filings and notices
If you’re unsure whether we can serve your documents, just ask — we’ll point you in the right direction.
Are you licensed or registered?
Washington State doesn’t require licensing for process servers, but we follow RCW 18.180 and all applicable state and federal rules. We also maintain professional insurance and operate with strict confidentiality.
What if they refuse the papers?
If someone refuses the papers, servers are trained to complete legal service by acknowledgment or substitute methods when allowed. You’ll always receive detailed notes on every attempt.
Do you provide proof of service?
Yes. After service is completed, we provide a free signed Proof or Affidavit of Service that meets court filing requirements. You’ll also receive a digital copy for your records.
How long does it take to get an affidavit?
You will get an affidavit completed within 24 hours after service.
Why do you charge more for protection/restraining orders?
There are additional costs and risks associated with protection/restraining orders. We use body cameras to film interactions with known unpredictable and violent individuals.
Do you guarantee successful service?
While no service can guarantee specific results, we stand behind the quality of our work. We guarantee clear communication, ethical practices, and a strong commitment to delivering value and measurable progress for every client.
